Cars for Sale in Kentucky
"Kentucky." Mention the state and several things leap immediately to mind: Colonel Harlan Sanders and his world-famous blend of 11 herbs and spices that make for some finger-lickin' good fried chicken. That yearly derby event where horses with silly names run one really quick lap around the track at Churchill Downs and ladies wear very large, very fancy hats. Or maybe Mr. Beam's iconic bourbon. Whatever your recollections and perceptions are of the state, there's no denying that Kentucky has a very distinct personality to it.
With a gorgeous landscape that tells a story all its own of the history of the state, Kentucky is a place that demands to be experienced. One of those ways is most certainly behind the wheel of your car, as you soak in the incredible mountain views and twisty roads that take you through some of the state's forgotten locales. Maybe take the trip in one of the Chevrolet Corvettes that are manufactured in Bowling Green. If not, that's fine. There are more than 3.5 million registered vehicles to drive (so long as you're not stealing one, that is), in which Kentucky residents log an average of 16,332 miles annually. And if none of those cars fit your fancy, there's always one of the new cars for sale at the 2,141 dealerships throughout the state. These dealerships collectively net an impressive $6.63 billion in new car sales, helping to sustain the 241,000 auto industry-related jobs in Kentucky.
Kentucky also has its share of weirdness to its name. For instance, Christian County is wet while Bourbon County is dry. Barren County has the most fertile land in the state. Oh, and Kentuckyian Joe Bowen holds the world record for stilt walking endurance. He walked 3,008 miles on stilts from Bowen to Los Angeles, CA.
Just be sure that when you're in Fort Thomas, your pet doesn't molest a vehicle. That's against the law.
